Who it is for
This is for a nonprofit or small business that still runs a server, a database, or a line-of-business application somewhere other than Azure, and wants to know if a move is worth it. It also fits a team that already has an Azure subscription and is not sure what is running or what it is for. You need a person who can describe the system in plain language: what it does, who uses it, and whether it can stop for a window.
Many organizations do not need Azure on day one. Mail, files, and Teams belong in Microsoft 365. If that is your whole estate, we will say so and point you away from a migration.
What the assessment covers
What would move. We list the servers, databases, and applications you name, and we say which ones have a straightforward place in Azure and which ones should stay where they are or be retired. We do not start a migration during the assessment, and we do not change DNS.
What modernization would mean. A lift of a virtual machine is not the same as replacing the application. We say which of those you are actually asking for, because they are different projects with different risk.
Azure Accelerate. Microsoft publishes program terms for partner-led Azure migration and modernization, including Azure Accelerate. Eligible organizations may qualify for a Microsoft-funded assessment; eligibility is determined by Microsoft program terms. We will tell you if your situation looks like something to ask Microsoft about. We will not tell you that you have been approved, and we will not quote a credit or a dollar figure on this page.
If you are a nonprofit, the annual Azure credit Microsoft publishes for eligible nonprofits is a separate question from this assessment. We will not mix the two. The form goes to support@true.org.

Will Azure Accelerate pay for the move?
Eligible organizations may qualify for a Microsoft-funded assessment; eligibility is determined by Microsoft program terms. Funding for a later migration, if any, is also Microsoft's decision. We do not guarantee it.
Do you move the server during the assessment?
No. The assessment says whether a move makes sense and what would have to be true first.
