Who it is for
This is for an organization that has Microsoft 365 Business Premium, or is deciding whether to move to it, and wants a plain reading of the security already turned on. A typical fit is a team under the Business plan user limit, with a handful of administrators, shared mailboxes, and guests in Teams. You do not need a security department. You need someone who can say who should be an administrator and which mailboxes hold client, donor, or student information.
If the tenant is on Enterprise plans, say so. We will tell you whether this Business Premium conversation still fits or whether you need a different review. We do not invent a maturity score.
What the assessment covers
Defender. We look at whether Microsoft Defender protections that belong with Business Premium are actually on: mail, devices you manage, and the alerts someone is supposed to read. An unused alert is not protection. We say who would look at it.
Purview. We look at the information-protection and compliance features the tenant already has, and which ones would be add-ons rather than part of the plan you pay for today. Microsoft's packaging changes. We read what is assigned in your tenant instead of repeating a brochure. We do not claim that every Purview capability is included in Business Premium.
Identity. We check global administrators, multi-factor sign-in, and how a guest gets into a Team. Business Premium's value is mostly lost if every staff member is an administrator or if a shared mailbox has no owner.
Eligible organizations may qualify for a Microsoft-funded assessment; eligibility is determined by Microsoft program terms. TRUE.org does not approve that funding and does not quote a price here. The form goes to support@true.org.
Questions we answer before a quote
Is Defender included in Business Premium?
Business Premium includes Microsoft's Defender protections for that plan. Some Defender and Purview suites are add-ons. We read what your tenant actually has before we recommend anything.
Does Microsoft fund the assessment?
Eligible organizations may qualify for a Microsoft-funded assessment; eligibility is determined by Microsoft program terms. We do not guarantee it.
