Who it is for
This is for a finance lead, an executive director, or an owner who is closing the books in desktop software, in a patchwork of spreadsheets, or in an accounting package the vendor no longer wants to support. You are asking if Business Central, Microsoft's ERP for smaller organizations, is the next system or a larger project than you need.
It fits a single organization with one set of books, not a group that needs a different ERP for each subsidiary. If you already run Business Central and the question is support rather than a new deployment, say that. We will not pretend a tune-up is a migration.
What the assessment covers
Fit. We ask how you invoice, how you track a grant or a job, how inventory or programs are counted if you have them, and who posts the monthly close. Business Central is a broad product. We say which parts you would actually use and which parts you should leave off.
The current system. We ask what has to come across, what can stay behind as history, and who would approve a cutover. We do not migrate data during the assessment, and we do not promise a date.
Licensing shape, without a price. Business Central is sold in more than one way, and nonprofit terms, when they exist, are Microsoft's. We will not print an amount. We will tell you what we would need to see before anyone orders a seat.
Eligible organizations may qualify for a Microsoft-funded assessment; eligibility is determined by Microsoft program terms. A funded assessment is not a funded implementation. If Microsoft does not fund it, you can still ask us for the same review. The form goes to support@true.org.
Questions we answer before a quote
Is Business Central the same as our old accounting software?
No. It is an ERP. The assessment says whether that is what you need or whether the current system is enough.
Will Microsoft fund the assessment or the implementation?
Eligible organizations may qualify for a Microsoft-funded assessment; eligibility is determined by Microsoft program terms. We do not guarantee funding for the assessment or for a later implementation.
Where does the note go?
support@true.org. Include the system you use now and who closes the books.
